I'm a big DC Comics junkie. Target, not so much.
I do think the concept of the latest Target marketing campaign is pretty awesome, but poorly executed. There were two things that really stuck out for me in their latest ad, but I'll let you check it out first: 

Here's what bugs me about this ad. 

1) If you're some kind of Supermom, how can you forget your own kids birthday? I mean sure, if you're legitimately out saving the world then I can understand forgetting such an event, but the beginning of the ad she's in her housecoat and holding a cup of coffee. Come on. Not a real Supermom. 

2) Maybe this is petty, but I think it's a clear oversight on the creative teams work. How is Superman using his x-ray vision AND seeing himself at the same time? (See frame below)

I think it's a really great concept for Target and DC Entertainment to team up, but it was just poorly executed, at least for this comic book nerd.
