Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu: Profile Video

Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu is locally owned and run dojo in Chilliwack.We were introduced to Steve Hiscoe, owner and main teacher, through a family member who is heavily involved and loving every minute of his time learning Jiu-Jitsu. My wife and I enrolled our oldest son into the HEET program, Hiscoe Evade & Escape Tactics, and he's loved it so much that he's continuing onto his third level with the program.

It's been really interesting watching how my son has learned from Steve. When Steve steps on the mat for class, the kids that were running around in the dojo, all of a sudden become quiet and still. Steve has this ability to focus kids in on what they're supposed to be doing. That's when he'll crack some joke from the front of class and you can feel the awkwardness with the kids as they're trying to figure out what to do, if it's okay to laugh. Next thing you know Steve has the kids doing push-ups, stretches and practicing break falls.

As a parent, I'd recommend you get your kids signed up for at least a few sessions, as Steve mentions in the video, it's really a life skill people should have in their pocket.
