Only By The Night - Review
If you've read much of my blog, you may notice I don't do too many music reviews.I do enjoy reviewing movies from the 80's and I think I'll be branching some of those reviews to the 70's very soon as well.
I don't review too many albums because well I'm not much of a music expert. Sure I know how to play a chord or two and I'm more musically talented then Ben Mulroney is at hosting Canadian Idol, but I'm far from an expert. I just know what I like when I hear it. I love jazz and I can never go wrong with listening to Miles Davis, and I love the rat pack era via Frank, Sammy, Dean and more (no not Dean Orrell)
My wife bought Kings of Leon "Only By The Night" for me for my birthday. I'm loving it. The raspy voice, smooth vibes, acoustic guitars and range of songs has me dancing in my head. I don't dance out loud because I fear I may look like Elaine. "More like a full body dry heave set to music"
That said, I think this album is great. Worth picking up in iTunes and getting on your MP3 player asap.
Cheers,
